The Leland Stanford Mansion Foundation hosted an opening gala at the mansion to celebrate the official dedication of the newly restored mansion to the state and people of California. Guests enjoyed food and drink, and docent-led tours of the mansion, which will serve as the state’s official address for diplomatic and business receptions and a California State Park historic museum. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and first lady Maria Shriver were special guests. Shriver was honorary chair, and Sharon Davis and Gayle Wilson were honorary co-chairs.
