In 1968, the father and son team of Warren and Chris Bogle planted 20 acres of wine grapes in the delta town of Clarksburg. Today, under the direction of owner Patty Bogle, the grape-growing operation has expanded to 1,200 acres. Delta breezes must contribute to the creation of winning whites and victorious reds because Bogle wines have brought home plenty of gold, silver and bronze throughout the past several years. Enjoying a splash of the grape in the winery’s tasting room and picnicking on the winery’s lawn is a happy way to pass the time on a leisurely fall day.
