Street Style

Luke Fry
Design furniture director
Seen at: 20th and J streets
Wearing: Straight-leg Levis, black blazer, Alfani Red shirt, Ecco slip-ons, shoulder bag

“The blazer’s cheap—I got it for $14 at Macy’s last year. I never wear shoes with laces. It was a challenge for me in kindergarten to tie my shoes. The bag’s the best part. I can carry my cell phone, wallet, keys and lip balm. This is my second one. I bought my first 10 years ago. It got stolen.”

Nikki Polin
State worker
Seen at: 15th and L streets
Wearing: Pinstripe trousers, Coach limited-edition satchel, belt with rhinestone buckle, Dior sunglasses

“Holly Madison (Hugh Hefner’s ex) and I have that bag. There were only 200 made, and it was sold out in California. I spent 10 days searching online before I found one in Texas. I got the belt from Beyond Gotham at Birdcage. The
sunglasses are from a really awesome boutique in Tahoe called Scruples.”

Abby Eddy
Seen at: 15th and L streets
Wearing: 7 For All Mankind wide-leg jeans, Free People top, Anthropologie scarf, Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses

“I’m embarrassed to say the shoes are Jessica Simpson. They have a 1-inch platform and a 4 ½-inch heel, but they’re surprisingly comfortable. I got the jeans and top a month ago. The top has a batwing sleeve—all my purchases lately have been this sort of thing.”
