Last Call: Rabbi Reuven Taff

3775

Spiritual Leader, Mosaic Law Congregation, Sacramento

When I was little, I wanted to be:

An actor like Robert Young in Father Knows Best.

I am most happy when:
The Sacramento Kings are winning.

I love the sound of:
A baby happily cooing in his or her crib.

People would be surprised to know:
I once walked into John Wooden’s office at UCLA to ask for a walk-on tryout.

I’m a big believer that:
The world would be a better place if people were kinder to each other.

It makes me sad to see:
That the world isn’t doing more to stop the genocide
in Sudan.

My favorite holiday is:
Sukkot, where Jews are supposed to eat and sleep in temporary huts for seven days, humbling ourselves before our Creator.

My most dreaded chore is:
Throwing away anything.

My favorite midnight snack is: Mint chocolate chip ice cream.

The best decision I ever made was:
Changing careers and becoming a rabbi.

The worst decision I ever made was:
Wearing Photogray eyeglasses at my wedding, resulting in every picture of me with dark sunglasses. My mother-in-law was not very happy. Oy vey! is all I can say.
