In the age of COVID, most large wine events have been cancelled or postponed. The community of Lincoln, however, is making lemonade out of lemons and is hosting the first Mini Lincoln Wine Fest this Saturday, Oct. 24.
Tickets are limited and can be purchased, in advance or the day of (if not sold out), for $20, and each ticket holder will get access to special offers and discounts from participating wineries, breweries, retailers and restaurants. All of the featured businesses are within a 15–minute drive of downtown Lincoln.
Attendees are asked to register at Beermann Plaza between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on the day of the event, as individual wineries will not have event tickets for sale. Once registered, participants can take themselves on a self-guided tour of the participating venues. All local and county guidelines will be observed including social distancing and mask requirements.
Each ticket entitles the holder to complimentary tastings at the four featured Lincoln wineries: Wise Villa Winery, Ciotti Cellars, Dora Dain Wines and Rancho Roble Vineyards. Three local breweries are also part of the tour, but due to county guidelines, beer tasting is not included with the ticket. Instead, the breweries will be offering complimentary non-alcoholic extras such as free goat food at GoatHouse Brewing.
