Nondaily Newspaper

Sacramento News & Review;
Never one to shy away from controversial subjects, the Sacramento News & Review can stir the proverbial pot with the best of them. Peruse the free, alternative weekly’s stories, editorials and letters to the editor for proof positive. Perhaps even more counter-culture than its political vibe (the paper’s open about it’s left-leaning views), its no-topic-off-limits subjects and its sometimes biting “Bites” column is the paper’s personals section—specifically the “spicy” personals, which raise eyebrows with some who question their appropriateness. Admit it, though: You’ve taken a look. Love ’em or hate ’em, the folks at SN&R know their niche and fill it well.
