In my ongoing (and feverish) search for great brunch food, I recently discovered Zócalo’s enchiladas Guanajuato. Modestly stuffed with shredded chicken and queso Oaxaca, the enchiladas (three to an order) are napped with a bright, tangy tomatillo sauce and sprinkled generously with queso fresco. The dish’s flavors, enticingly bold and vivacious, are a feisty (and scrumptious) wakeup call for lazy weekend palates.
