Wine of the Week: Vino Noceto Nutz!

2381

I have big plans to buy fabulous, age-worthy wines that I can set aside for future consumption (I’ve been making myself this promise for decades). But until then, I’m always happy to find tasty, inexpensive, and very food-friendly wines that I can serve with dinner – tonight.

So it was with delight that I tucked into a bottle of Vino Noceto’s Nutz! (bottled under the label Tutti i Giorni, which means “everyday” in Italian). An easy-drinking Sangiovese-based red blend, the wine also contains a touch of Barbera, Sangiovese Rosé, and Alicante Bouschet.

True to its label, this non-vintage red wine is a great choice for everyday drinking. Fruity flavors of cherry and plum, and violet/cherry aromas make this lighter-style red – similar to a Chianti – a great partner with barbecue, lasagna, roasted chicken and grilled vegetables.
