Upcoming Cooking Classes at Williams-Sonoma


Yesterday I had a spare 20 minutes on my hands, so I went to Williams-Sonoma to stare lustfully at kitchen equipment I can’t afford. After standing longingly in front of the Le Creuset pot display, I checked out a current list of the store’s cooking classes, which sound like a lot of fun. Foodies can join chef Gillian Rouge on Wednesday, August 18th, when she creates a menu using produce from the farmers’ market (class nibbles include eggplant and fig caponata, and fresh peaches with sabayon); and on Wednesday, September 1st, chefs Kelly and Eddie Fong will prepare a menu “full of farm-fresh summertime comfort food classics” such as Southern buttermilk fried chicken and vanilla bean ice cream.
