Take advantage of a break in the weather this weekend by attending one of two world-class wine events. One is right up the hill; the other is across the Bay.
In El Dorado County, “Bring out the Barrel” event will offer barrel tastings from more than 20 different wineries. Enjoy behind the scenes tours, savory bites, and special reserve tastings from some of the best wineries in the foothills, including my favorites, Latcham Vineyards, Crystal Basin Cellars, and Mount Aukum Winery.

The 19th Annual Grand Zinfandel Tasting is one of the largest wine tastings in the world and will be held this weekend in San Fran. Very exciting. The tasting will offer Zinfandels from more than 250 wineries all in one location. Taking up two buildings at San Francisco’s Fort Mason, the tasting is one of the “must-do” events for the serious wine lover.
