Toast restaurant in Granite Bay is changing its name and format. As of Wednesday, the restaurant—now called Quarry Ponds Cafe—will no longer serve breakfast.
The cafe will be open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday and for brunch Tuesday through Sunday. The recession reportedly had battered Toast’s breakfast business.
While remaining under the same ownership, the cafe will have a new management team: chef Scott Snyder and manager/sommelier Laura Kudla. The pair recently owned Madderlake Cafe in New York’s Finger Lakes region. Under the new format, they plan to offer value for money, including a three-course prix-fixe Chef’s Comfort Menu for $24.50.
The restaurant is in the Quarry Ponds shopping center.
