Sweetwater Restaurant and Bar has moved from East Sac to midtown. The restaurant is now at 1901 S St., in the old Fins Market & Grill location.
The menu remains essentially the same: a lot of bar food, burgers, salads and entrées such as roasted vegetable lasagna, grilled salmon and stuffed chicken breast.
Meanwhile, the owners of the East Sac building once inhabited by Sweetwater are planning to open their own restaurant, called The Corner Bar, in early September. Evan Elsberry, owner of Evan’s Kitchen, will be the executive chef.
Incidentally, that building (at 5641 J St.) has a storied past: It was the birthplace of Shakey’s Pizza.
