Roseville has a new steak and seafood restaurant: Suede Blue, which opened today in the landmark building that until recently housed Carver’s Steak & Chops.
Carver’s went out of business late last year when its owner, real estate developer Kobra Properties, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Kobra Properties also owns Crush 29 in Roseville, along with numerous Jack in the Box, T.G.I. Friday’s and Qdoba Mexican Grill outlets.
Suede Blue is billed as a casual restaurant with midrange prices. Its chef, Brian Hawkins, previously was involved with Kobra Properties’ high-end Cena di Mare project at 1535 Eureka Road, which has been on hold thanks to the slumping economy.
Suede Blue will be open for lunch Monday–Friday 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m., happy hour Monday–Friday 2–6 p.m. and dinner daily 5–9 p.m.
