Did you know this is Sacramento Wine & Dine Week? Through Sunday, July 12, four dozen local restaurants, including Ella, Mulvaney’s Building & Loan, Biba and Hawks, are offering three- or four-course prix fixe dinners at reduced prices.
The event, in its third year, is designed to get people into restaurants during what is traditionally one of slowest dining-out weeks of the year. Other cities, including Boston, Chicago and Washington, D.C., hold similar events.
Biba, for instance, is serving a three-course meal—a mozzarella starter, gnocchi with Italian sausage and a choice of appetizer (braised lamb shank or oven-braised rabbit), all served with tastings of Boeger wines—for $50.
Enotria is offering an even better deal: $34 for three courses, including crab cake, grilled steak and nectarine shortcake, each with a different wine.
This is your chance to try out a restaurant you might not ordinarily frequent.
