After a quick glance out the window yesterday, I decided that I could use a big, steamy bowl of wonton soup. So I called up P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and drove to midtown, clad in a totally inappropriate, stained and rumpled sweat suit (glum weather makes me dress like a slob) to pick up my order. When I got home, my family clamored around me like hungry medflies in a peach orchard – and in short order we had consumed every drop and scrap of the wonton soup, plump shrimp dumplings and honey chicken I had so recently purchased. It was a very satisfying post-Christmas feast.
