An exciting new cookbook sure to appeal to local foodies has just been published. The 300-page “Placer County Real Food” is authored by chef Laura Kenny and Joanne Neft, retired longtime director of the Placer County Agricultural Marketing Program (and tireless, cheerful advocate of eating locally-produced and -grown food). Born from a “one year dinner party” – Neft and Kenny prepared 52 meals over the period of one year composed with Placer County agricultural products they sourced at the local farmers’ markets – the cookbook brims with delectable recipes and gorgeous photographs.
