Kupros To Open For Dinner Tonight


Kupros Bistro, a new gastropub at 1217 21st St. in midtown, will open for business at 5 p.m. today. Chef John Gurnee, formerly with Mason’s, will be serving upscale renditions of pub grub: housemade potato chips and onion dip (pictured here—yum), crispy pork-belly sliders, beer-steamed clams, and French fries with fresh cheese curds and gravy. (Called poutine, it’s the national dish of Canada.) If you go, ask for a table on the second-story balcony overlooking 21st Street—it’s a great place to watch the world whiz by.
