Honoring The Dining Divas

1725

How do you say goodbye to a legend? Next Sunday, there will be a party—open to the public—at Paragary’s in honor of Sacramento Magazine’s Dining Divas, who are hanging up their knives and forks. The Divas, headed by longtime journalist Gloria Glyer, have lunched together once a month since 1993, raising more than $320,000 in the process for local nonprofits. Local PR guy Patrick Powers honchoed the Sept. 12 party, which runs from 4 to 8 p.m. and features champagne, Paragary’s food, and music by Sister Swing and Kitty O’Neal and Kurt Spataro. Admission is free, but attendees will be encouraged to make a donation to the American River Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts department. Paragary’s is at 1401 28th St.
