Front Row Seat: Mulvaney's Chef's Table

I had a fabulous meal recently at Mulvaney’s B & L. The best part of the experience was sitting at the restaurant’s “chef’s table,” a raised seating area that looks directly onto the kitchen’s production table. We had a ball watching chef Patrick Mulvaney and his staff carefully compose plate after plate of food, which was then quickly whisked out to patrons. The meal included an amuse-bouche of duck confit dolloped with a housemade berry jam; a marvelous and rustic chicken cacciatore on fettuccini noodles; and a warm frisee salad punctuated with bits of bacon and topped with a poached egg.  Note: If you’re interested in sitting at the chef’s table, request it when making reservations – it’s a great spot for a first date.
