Small pours are a big trend in wine. “It gives people the opportunity to get the full experience of something without having too much,” says Matt Parker, general manager at 58 Degrees & Holding Co., the midtown wine bar where every wine is available in a 3-ounce pour. Jeff Back, owner of Back Wine Bar in Folsom, says half-size portions are a hit with customers. “They love the small pours. It’s a good way to taste because you don’t have to commit to a whole glass of wine,” explains Back. Other spots to savor small pours: The Grand Wine Bar in Sacramento, Tucos Wine Market and Cafe in Davis and Carpe Vino in Auburn.
