I had some knockout barbecue from MoMo’s Meat Market on Saturday night. A new, family-owned establishment in Tahoe Park, MoMo’s serves up groan-worthy ribs, tri-tip, brisket and chicken, slathered in a finger-licking, tangy-sweet sauce. And though I’ve heard the greens and rice & beans are great, owners Sharon and Glenn Miller were completely sold out of them when I arrived at 5pm (Glenn kindly substituted a fiery hot link for my missing side dishes). The meats are cooked right out front of the shop in the Miller’s big black barbecue, and when it’s gone, it’s gone – so I would suggest you call before you visit. Incidentally, MoMo is Glenn’s grandmother.
