The Firehouse Restaurant in Old Sac is set to release its first original wine: The Firehouse No. 3 2007 Cabernet. Made from a blend of California cult wines, it will be sold only at the restaurant and will cost $135 a bottle. Restaurant wine director Mario Ortiz and sommelier Paul Marsh came up with the proprietary blend, which has a long finish and aromas of spice and cooked-down blue and black fruits. The wine will be available starting Oct. 7.
