A reader e-mailed the other day, asking what local restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving Day. Good question, I thought. I started calling around, then had a better idea. I went to OpenTable.com, the online restaurant reservation service, which has a list of Sacramento-area restaurants serving turkey and the trimmings this Nov. 26. The list includes Boulevard Bistro, Chops, Grange, The Firehouse, La Provence, The Mustard Seed, Piatti, Scott’s Seafood, Tazzina Bistro, Zinfandel Grille and Ten 22. If you go to the site, you’ll find details on menus and prices and can make a reservation with a click of a button.
I love OpenTable, but I’ve found that sometimes the site won’t let me make a reservation. If that happens, don’t give up: Call the restaurant yourself and talk to a human.
