Fat Face Coming to Sacramento

Artisan popsicle maker Jaymes Luu plans to open a Sacramento outpost of Fat Face, her hyperpopular sandwich-and-popsicle shop in Davis. The new eatery, set to open in May or June, will be in an old brick building at 1815 19th Street, across the street from the 19th Street Safeway. Like the Davis shop, the Sacramento Fat Face will serve interesting sandwiches like cola-braised pork and a rotating lineup of popsicles with flavors such as beet tangerine, brandy-poached pear and Thai tea and sweet potato. Fat Face will share quarters with Bows & Arrows, a vintage clothing store that’s currently on L Street.
