It seems chef Patrick Mulvaney’s very popular Monday night family-style suppers are inspiring his colleagues. Chef Matt Woolston is now offering a similar theme for his guests on Monday, July 26th at his Carmichael restaurant Matteo’s Pizza & Bistro. Diners will sit at community tables and enjoy a family-style (dishes arrive on large platters and are passed around from person to person) dinner prepared from locally sourced ingredients. The menu on the 26th includes “dirty” risotto and shrimp cakes with creole dipping sauce; dry-rubbed Bledsoe Farms pork spare ribs; and warm peach pie ‘a la mode. The dinner starts at 6pm and costs $34.95 per person. Note: Woolston has waived the restaurant’s corkage fee for the event.
