I recently relished a couple of knockout pasta dishes from Dominick’s Italian Market & Deli, located in Granite Bay. While I was aware of the cheery, family-friendly establishment’s great pizzas and calzones, this was the first time I had tried their pastas. The Pappardelle alla Bolognese featured freshly-made “ribbon” pasta smothered with a sophisticated, complex meat-based tomato sauce; and the Linguini con Vongole was a flavorful, fragrant tumble of linguine and baby clams in a white wine broth with olive oil, garlic and fresh parsley. I would happily make the drive back to Granite Bay to enjoy these dishes again.
