David Berkley Gets a Name Change

David Berkley Fine Wines & Specialty Foods is no more. As of this week, the famed wine shop and upscale grocer has a new name: The Market at Pavilions.

David Berkley, a noted wine expert who owned the store for more than 20 years, sold the business last year. He’s now recuperating from wrist surgery and will soon undergo two knee replacements. He’s reportedly planning to return with a new venture. Could it be he decided to retire the David Berkley name so that he can use it himself?

The Market at Pavilions will get new signage and some interior updating. But for now, the store still looks much as it did when Berkley owned it.
