Looking to capitalize on the cupcake craze, local baker Kristine Bertram is offering private cupcake-making classes.
The classes take place after business hours at Babycakes Bakery, the East Sac cupcake bakery that Bertram co-owns.
She recently held a private class as a birthday party for a frequent customer. The hands-on classes cost $45 per person, and each student leaves with a dozen cupcakes. Bertram can handle groups of six to eight.
