Cheese Loves Beer: Mastering the Marriage

There’s still time to get tickets to an intriguing event on Saturday called “Cheese Loves Beer: Mastering the Marriage.” Hosted at UC Davis by the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science and Slow Food Yolo, the event will be led by Dr. Moshe Rosenberg of the Department of Food Science & Technology and Dr. Charlie Bamforth, Professor of Malting and Brewing Sciences. Subjects addressed during the event include:

•  the diversity of beer styles and flavors
•  why beer is the ideal accompaniment to your favorite cheese
•  international cheese styles and the evolution of their distinctive flavors
•  the importance of beer and cheese as “functional” foods
