Channeling my Inner Julia


Filled with inspiration from watching Julie & Julia last night (if you haven’t seen it, you must – it’s rollicking fun), I am making boeuf bourguignon for dinner tonight. Armed with Corti Brothers’ finest beef stew meat and a bottle of Six Hands Delta Red (a friendly and very drinkable red table wine crafted in Walnut Grove), I’ll spend the next several hours recreating the dish that made every Julie & Julia movie-goer salivate. We have friends coming for dinner, so I plan to cap the meal off with a honey crisp apple and Bartlett pear tarte tatin (accompanied by a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream). Bon appétit!
