Anthony Bourdain Coming to Sacramento

Anthony Bourdain, the star of Travel Channel’s “No Reservations” and author of the wildly entertaining Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, will speak at Sacramento’s Memorial Auditorium Sept. 17. Bourdain, a chef, made a name for himself as the food world’s leading bad boy with the publication of his 2000 memoir, in which he dished about the secret food practices of restaurants and the sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll lifestyle of professional kitchen people. He’s since become a major TV personality, known for his biting tongue and willingness to eat anything anywhere. Tickets to Bourdain’s lecture are $36.50 and $46.50 and are available at the Sacramento Convention Center Box Office, by phone at (916) 808-5181 or (916) 225-2277 or online at
