If you haven’t chosen your pumpkin for Halloween yet, consider taking the family aboard the Sacramento River Train on October 24th or 31st for a very special pumpkin-picking experience. The train, which takes passengers on a relaxed trip to a local pumpkin patch, also regales its younger customers during the ride with friendly scarecrows and a strolling musician, in addition to freshly-baked cupcakes and apple cider. Once at the patch, everyone gets to select a pumpkin, and participants can also enjoy a tractor ride, clamber on hay bales or find their way through a corn maze.
All-inclusive tickets cost $23 for children ages 2-12, and $29 for adults. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Sacramento River Train website at www.SacramentoRiverTrain.com, or call (800) 866-1690.
