Want to meet Ruth Reichl, former editor of Gourmet magazine and one of the country’s leading food figures? You can—if you’re willing to plunk down a C note. Reichl, who’ll be in town March 26 for a lecture at the Crest Theatre, will be the featured guest at a prelecture reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Grange Restaurant & Bar in The Citizen Hotel. The lecture is sold out, but about 50 tickets (at $100 apiece) are still available for the reception. In honor of Reichl’s memoir Garlic and Sapphires, Grange exec chef Michael Tuohy will serve “garlic surprises” and sapphire martinis. The event is a fundraiser for California Lectures. For tickets, call (916) 737-1300 or go to https://calectures.webconnex.com/ReichlRecp.
