To celebrate the autumn equinox, Magpie is offering a takeaway farm-to-table harvest dinner this Saturday, Sept. 26.
The $100 dinner for two includes grass-fed beef braised with roasted pumpkin; chicken prepared two ways with roasted pear and frisee; grilled endive with dates, walnuts and blue cheese, Good Mother Stallard beans and sweet peppers; tomato and watermelon salad; bread by Faria; macarons by Ginger Elizabeth; flowers from Full Belly Farm; and a bottle of Sonoma wine.
The meal is a benefit for Community Alliance With Family Farmers, which advocates for sustainable food and farming systems.
While eating dinner, participants can tune into the 35th anniversary Farm Aid Concert, a virtual at-home festival that will stream live in HD at farmaid.org from 5–8 p.m. PDT.
