Where To Watch the World Cup

World Cup fever has hit Sacramento and is expected to become even more fervent now that the U.S. has advanced out of the group phase. That some games start as early as 7 a.m. is no deterrent, and many area pubs and sports bars are opening early to accommodate fans.

All three Streets of London locations (Sacramento, Folsom and West Sacramento) open at 6:45 a.m. for 7 a.m. games. On the menu: breakfast burritos, breakfast plates and breakfast pasties as well as $5 Jameson Irish Coffee.

Want something a little “lighter” in the morning? How about bottomless tea and coffee? Mandango’s Sports Bar & Grill in Roseville is opening at 7 a.m. for the more popular (definitely U.S.) games. You can wash down your buttermilk pancakes, breakfast pizza and breakfast croissant sandwich with a $4 Widmer.

El Patron Bar & Grill over on Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento will open a ½ hour to an hour before game time. Specials include $4 house margaritas, $1 tacos and $4 appetizers as well as breakfast and dinner items.

DeVere’s in downtown Sacramento is opening up at 6 a.m. for early games and offering—in addition to breakfast fare—$4 pints of Carlsberg and Firestone DBA.

The Golden Bear
in Midtown is opening at 7 a.m. Friday–Sunday. Perks include free coffee and no minimum credit card fee. Oh, and some select free food on Saturday and Sunday until 10 a.m.

Little Prague
in Davis is opening up at 6:30 a.m. for 7 a.m. games and offering $5 breakfasts.

And the Davis Graduate also is opening up at 6:30 a.m. and offering a full breakfast menu.
