Volunteers Needed for Athletics Championships

The Sacramento Sports Commission is seeking volunteers to help out with the World Masters Athletics Championships, taking place in Sacramento July 6–17. The commission is looking for people to act as airport greeters, results runners, gate monitors, on-field marshals and more. This is the World Masters Athletics Championships—the first time the U.S. has hosted the event in 16 years—so there’s a special need for volunteers fluent in Spanish, French and German. Events will take place at Sac State, Sac City College, American River College, Granite Regional Park, William Land Park and along the American River Parkway. There are volunteer opportunities for event setup and tear down as well. If you are at least 18 years old and can work at least two four-hour shifts, log on here.
