Can’t get enough of Cafe Bernardo’s salmon BLT, grilled hanger steak or cornmeal waffle? Then you’ll be pleased to know that Sacramento’s Paragary Restaurant Group has opened up a brand new Cafe Bernardo on K and 10th streets, adjoined to their hip (also new) downtown lounge, KBAR. The space is lovely, with high ceilings, lots of sun and a roomy dining area. We recently got a sneak peek of the restaurant several days before it opened, and savored the kitchen’s refreshing butter leaf lettuce salad and hefty, flavorful Angus tri-tip sandwich, embellished with horseradish mustard and topped with sweet caramelized onions and melted Cowgirl Creamery brie cheese.
