Be among the first to check out local director Ryan McKinney’s new movie The Invited tomorrow night at the Crest Theatre. The film, a psychological thriller in the vein of Alfred Hitchcock, will be shown at 9 p.m. as part of the Sacramento International Film Festival, which runs through April 25. Inspired by real events, the movie stars Lou Diamond Phillips, Pam Grier and Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach fame. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Crest or via sacramentofilmfestival.net. Afterward, rub elbows with McKinney and others at the after-party, taking place at Sapporo Grill. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door.
