Will Eat for Peace: Sac Veg Society Hosts Speaker

1690

Given all the buzz lately about plant-based diets (thanks to Alicia Silverstone’s New York Times best-selling The Kind Diet, among other celeb endorsements), perhaps it’s no wonder the Sacramento Vegetarian Society’s monthly potlucks have been growing by leaps and bounds. What’s on tap for the June potluck? Guest speaker Will Tuttle, Ph.D., who will discuss The World Peace Diet, his top-selling book on Amazon. Described as a compassionate and inspiring speaker, Tuttle—an educator and musician who’s trained as a Zen Buddhist monk—will talk about the physical, emotional and spiritual lives of animals and the consequences of our food choices. After the talk, he’ll sign books. Before the talk, take part in a vegan potluck.
