Where To Watch the Big Game

This is “no duh” news to football fans, but the San Francisco 49ers have a big, exciting game this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against the New Orleans Saints. Might be fun to get out of the house and head over to a local sports bar to watch the game alongside other fans (and maybe some foes). We’ve compiled a list of places to go.
15 flat screens, adult slushies and a hot dog named after the one of the owner’s infant son (for cuteness factor). 2724 J St., Sacramento; (916) 476-4550; mybarwest.com
My college alumni group gathers here for March Madness; low-key vibe and the staff is always nice. 4060 Sunrise Blvd., Fair Oaks; (916) 967-8492; playerspub.net
Clubhouse 56
Sac Mag’s neighbors across the street; my co-workers say the TVs are so large, after dark you can see them from our parking lot! 723 56th St., Sacramento; (916) 454-5656; website
Buffalo Wild Wings
According to one source who visited recently: wall-to-wall televisions, good service and the wings? Delicious. 6301 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights; (916) 729-9464; buffalowildwings.com
Located on the trendy R Street Corridor, you can catch the game from any seat in the place, but why not try snagging a seat on one of the sofas? 1431 R St., Sacramento; (916) 930-9191; website
BJ’s at Arden Fair and Natomas, and the bar at The Cheesecake Factory near Market Square
I’m willing to bet the other BJ’s and Cheesecake Factory locations are similarly suitable, but I can personally vouch for the three restaurants above. BJ’s Arden Fair and 3531 N. Freeway Blvd., Natomas), bjsbrewhouse.com; thecheesecakefactory.com.
