Violinist David Kim To Play With the Sacramento Philharmonic

Classical music lovers will want to secure tickets for the Sacramento Philharmonic this weekend. Acclaimed concertmaster David Kim will play Camille Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concerto No. 3 at the Jan. 21 and 22 shows at the Sacramento Community Center Theater and Three Stages at Folsom Lake College, respectively. A Julliard (bachelor’s and master’s) graduate, Kim currently is the concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Saturday’s show is at 8 p.m.; Sunday’s is at 2 p.m., but consider getting to the shows an hour prior for “Speaking of the Music,” an informal talk with David Kim, hosted by Sean Bianco from Capital Public Radio—and a fellow violinist.
