Veridian Symphony Orchestra Plays Sunday

2515

My co-worker Darlena and I trekked to Yuba City on Friday night to hear our co-worker Stephen Rice perform in the Veridian Symphony Orchestra. D and I sometimes hear Steve practicing his bass in the office, but in all the years we have worked with him, we have never seen him perform. When he told us about this concert, we decided now was the time.

Sure, Yuba City is a bit of a drive from downtown Sacramento, but the trip was well worth it. Steve and company, under the direction of conductor Michael Goodwin, masterfully performed music by Mozart, Vitali, Holst and Tchaikovsky.

You haven’t missed out. There is another concert Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1390 Franklin Rd. in Yuba City. Tickets are $25 for adults with discounts for children and seniors.
