Trash Film Orgy Halloween

While the Crest as we know it may be on its way out, the historic theater isn’t going without a bang—or a boo! TheTrash Film Orgy crew is making sure they get one last crack at the place with a Halloween event, a one-night-only celebration of all things cheap, crappy and scary, on Friday, Oct. 24. The big headliner for the night is Tim Burton’s 1988 horror-comedy “Beetlejuice,” presented in its full 35 mm glory (you know you want to see Michael Keaton’s made-up face in such high definition). While the film starts at 9, you’ll want to be there when the doors open at 8. In the hour preceding the screening, you’ll be able to catch screenings of vintage Halloween safety public service announcements, plus a live stage show, music from the Amazing Deejay Junior, games, prizes, beer, wine and more. Expect plenty of guests in costume (dressing up gets you $1 off admission price) ready to delight and frighten. If you don’t already have an idea for how to celebrate this October, come check out this Halloween classic on the big screen, and say farewell to the Crest for now.
