Round up the kids (don’t forget your own inner kid) and head out to one or more of these Easter-related activities sure to get you and the little ones primed and ready for the appearance of the Big Bunny.

Don’t miss Bunny Times, playing at Arden Playhouse through March 31. Easter is in jeopardy! Can the Easter Bunny be saved? Come find out at this play that involves time travel, an evil scientist, a princess and, of course, the Easter Bunny. Show times are 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 and 5 p.m. on Sunday (Easter), March 31. Tickets are $5 (cash or check only) and children must be accompanied by an adult. The 18th Annual  “Living History” Easter Bonnet Promenade takes places Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m. in Old Sacramento. The one-hour “stroll” starts at the Sacramento History Museum and takes you through the streets of Old Sacramento. Feel free to dress up in your finest Easter apparel (bonnets and top hats, especially!) or historical attire. Later that afternoon, waltz on over to the Spring Ball, which will feature 19th century ballroom and contra dancing to period music. Feeling like you have two left feet? Don’t worry, dance instructors will be at the ready to demonstrate and teach. The Spring Ball is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Stanford Gallery at 111 I St. Both the Easter Bonnet Promenade and the Spring Ball are free. For more information, log onto historicoldsac.org.

Hop on over to Fairytale Town for the Spring Eggstravaganza, taking place Saturday and Sunday, March 30–31. The family-oriented celebration takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes Easter egg hunts (bring a basket with you!), spring-themed art activities, photos with Peter Cottontail and a theater show (Beauty and the Beat). Admission to Fairytale Town is $5 (free for children younger than 1); there is an additional charge for photos with Peter Cottontail ($5) and “Beauty and the Beat!” ($1-$2).
