It’s back! The Sacramento Ballet’s stunning production of Ron Cunningham’s “The Great Gatsby” will make its eagerly anticipated return Oct. 23-26 at the Community Center Theater.
Cunningham’s choreographic masterpiece first premiered in 2013 to sold-out crowds, and evokes the sensual, scintillating atmosphere of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel of Jazz Age excess. Period costumes and toe-tapping live tunes courtesy of Billy Novick’s Blue Syncopators round out this feast for the senses. This production also marks the triumphant return of beloved principal ballerina Alexandra Cunningham, who was out last season due to injury. Her performance as Daisy is not to be missed!
