Sugar Castle at the Westin St. Francis

2054

If shopping in the city is among your holiday plans, you might want to make a stop at the Westin St. Francis. The iconic San Francisco Hotel—located in the heart of Union Square—will be all dolled up for the holidays. We’re talking a 15-foot-tall white and silver holiday tree in the main lobby, an 18-foot tree in the Tower Lobby and a 12-foot holiday sugar castle, which will make its debut at 10 a.m. in the main lobby the day before Thanksgiving, Nov. 24. Modeled after a French château, the castle will have 20 circular towers, approximately 30 rooms and illuminated windows. Handcrafted chocolate ornaments—in various colors—will surround the castle. Visit the hotel for the day—perhaps for its holiday tea service or a spa treatment, or make a weekend of it with one of the St. Francis’ two holiday packages.
