When a beloved stuffed animal gets hurt, it’s a terrible thing. No child likes to see a once-robust plushie leaking stuffing (which every child knows is actually stuffed-animal blood). And unfortunately for such a child, it’s likely that her parents are neither veterinarians nor seamstresses. That’s when the stuffed animal vets come in. The Sacramento Zoo is holding a special clinic day to provide triage for sick stuffed animals. The finest stuffed animal vets in town will be at hand to treat emergency cases, or to examine and diagnose any mystery ailments. While the stuffed animals recover, their doting owners can explore the zoo and delight in the all of the live animals. Proceeds from this event go to the Greater Sacramento American Association of Zoo Keepers. For more information, see here.
