StoryCorps MobileBooth Tour 2015

2792

Everyone has a story to tell, and the StoryCorps MobileBooth Tour is coming to Sacramento to hear yours. StoryCorps is a nonprofit organization that serves to share and preserve the unique stories of everyday Americans.

This is how it works: Two people will enter a StoryCorps MobileBooth. Here, they will be able to record a meaningful conversation about things such as whom they are, what their happiest moments were, or what they believe their futures hold. A StoryCorps facilitator will sit in and guide the conversation. Afterward, the participants will receive a complimentary CD of their interview. And with participant permission, a copy is archived at the Sacramento Public Library and the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress for future generations to hear.

More than 65,000 interviews have been gathered from all 50 states. StoryCorps is one of the largest oral history projects of its kind. For more information and to listen to featured stories, visit storycorps.org.
