Frank Sinatra and The Partridge Family sharing the same stage on the same night? How can this be—especially considering that Mr. Sinatra passed from this Earth more than a decade ago? Find out Monday, May 14 at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento when My Sister’s House presents “Stop! In the Name of Love!” Local media, politicos and other people about town take on the personas of Sinatra, Bette Midler, Elvis, The B-52s and, yes, The Partridge Family, among others. Some performers and their star-powerful alter egos include KFBK’s afternoon hostess extraordinaire Kitty O’Neal as Jackie DeShannon (of “What the World Needs Now” fame), TV and radio personality Mark S. Allen and company embodying The Partridge Family and FOX 40’s Stefanie Cruz, Rowena Shaddox and Eric Harryman belting out The B-52s. News10’s Darla Givens, West Sacramento mayor Christopher Cabaldon and political adviser Dennis Mangers also will be on hand. We even hear that Lady Gaga will be in the house!
The show runs from 7–8:30 p.m. Tickets are $50; $100 if you’d like to attend a pre-show reception at Social Nightclub at 1000 K St. from 5–6:30 p.m. All of this benefits My Sister’s House, which helps victims of domestic violence in the Asian/Pacific Islander communities.
