Runners mingling with runners, honoring runners and more? That’s what’ll be taking place at the Sacramento Running Association’s Hall of Fame Banquet & Annual Achievement Awards, taking place Saturday, Jan. 26 starting at 6 p.m. at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento.
The event offers attendees the chance to walk (or run) the red carpet leading into the festivities, socialize with other runners, their family and friends at the aptly named “Aid Station Happy Hour,” enjoy a three-course dinner, and then be inspired by Hall of Fame inductees (which include Olympic gold medalist Billy Mills), the “Athlete of the Year” award presentation and the 2012 Annual Achievement Awards. KCRA news anchor and Sacramento Running Association board member (and avid athlete) Deirdre Fitzpatrick will serve as mistress of ceremonies.
